We have a strong desire to help reduce our collective carbon footprint by finding ways to improve the environmental performance of all companies and to preserve our planets natural reserves and resources. We strive to reduce our global environmental impact through our products, manufacturing, energy conservation and recycling of materials.

The Product
Reducing our impact starts with our products. We strive to reduce the use of raw materials and increase the use of materials that carry high recycling properties in all of our products. Not only do we set our own standards, we strive to exceed those set by energy and waste reducing programs such as ENERGY STAR®. When it comes to our packaging, we continue to commit to the use of recycled cardboards and environmentally friendly packaging materials and inserts. Our designers take pride in the amount of raw materials and space they can save through efficient designs. We are continually improving our design process to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
Manufacturing
Location Based Technologies helps safe guard both the consumer and the environment by restricting the use of harmful compounds in our materials and manufacturing processes. We take pride in our explicit limits with our manufacturing partners on the use of heavy metals and ozone corrupting substances throughout the process. It’s a win-win for all of us and the environment.
Energy Conservation & Recycling
From the complete use of low-energy fluorescent lighting in our offices to the optimization of energy use of our propriety hardware and development tools, we take great pride in our work environment and its ability to minimize the impact on our world. We’ve implemented company-wide recycling programs to encourage and promote recycling both at work and at home. Our headquarters were design with maximum natural lighting to vastly reduce the use of electricity. All our computers, laptops and displays carry ENERGY STAR® ratings.
Our Employees play an important role in improving both our environment and our communities through volunteer service project activities, recycling, energy conservation initiatives and identifying opportunities for efficiencies in our operations. We encourage our employees and contractors to participate in energy conservation programs such as RIDE-A- BIKE to work, recycling initiatives and alternative energy vehicles.
